Abstract

At present the character becomes an international problem and to grow it needs a school. Teachers in schools have introduced a variety of methods, and learning methods to integrate the value of education with the character of subject matter during the teaching and learning process. There are several schools that have not integrated character in the subject matter. The teacher should be able to assess the appropriate character values ​​for the subject matter. However, there are limitations to the process and there are appropriate methods in the learning process. In learning Indonesian in elementary school there is a basic competency in storytelling. On that material the teacher can integrate the educational values ​​of the implemented character values. This study is expected to be used as a reference in teaching character values ​​in schools and integrating them into subjects. This is a step taken by the teacher in building quality human resources.
