Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve students' ability to write proposals. Research is a classroom action research (CAR). This research was conducted in three cycles. Each consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were students of class X of Muhammadiyah I Karanganyar High School. Data sources are collected from students, and documents. Data collection technique is a test. Data were analyzed using critical analysis techniques and comparative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the use of the NHT learning model could improve student proposal writing skills. Based on data analysis the ability to write proposals to students after the action in the first cycle only 5 students who reached the percentage of students reaching KKM, 21.73%. In the second cycle the percentage of students who reached students reached 46.15% KKM 12 students, and the third cycle reached 79.17% of students who reached KKM 19 students. Conclusions from the results of the study that the NHT model can improve student proposal writing skills.
